What is 80+ ?
80+ is a worldwide electric utility-funded certification that defines more efficient power supplies in our desktop computers and servers. Advocated by noted U.S. enterprises such as Ecos Consulting and EPRI in 2003, 80+ was also supported and invested by non-governmental power stations with great exertion .80+ even became the environmental regulation in 2007.
Different from the conventional power supply, 80+ substantially requires multi-output power supplies to be 80% or more energy efficiency at 20%, 50% and 100% of rated load with a true power factor of 0.9 or greater.
There are four level labels which are classified according to different energy-efficiency as below.
